Getting there, parking and where to sleep

Getting to and from the terminal. Two bases ~7 miles apart (NAS 2 has the terminal; NAS 1 is the main base); inter-base shuttle ~30 min with multiple stops. Europcar next to the terminal (closed Sat afternoons/Sundays; after-hours key drop); cheaper rentals at Catania airport (~$40/3 days via DoYouItaly). Base-access taxi/rideshare: Rosario +39 349-822-5261; Giuseppe +39 392-934-7321. From Catania airport use Uber/rideshare to know the fare in advance (taxis have charged nearly double). Catania International Airport (CTA) 12 miles NE of NAS 2 (Ryanair and low-cost carriers; flights across Italy/Europe plus Casablanca/Dubai).
